Privacy Policy

How the public Shop Ledger website is designed to handle privacy and marketing technology.

Effective: August 25, 2026

Public website

This public website provides product, legal and account-entry information. It does not display bookkeeping ledger entries, reports, security audit records or private business data.

Secure application

Account and bookkeeping information entered into the Shop Ledger application is used to provide the service, authenticate users, enforce permissions, produce reports and exports, and maintain security/audit records.

Advertising and analytics

Google Ads integration is disabled in the supplied patch until valid production identifiers are configured. When enabled, advertising and analytics storage defaults to denied and is updated according to the visitor's consent choice on the public site.

Sensitive authentication information

Users should never transmit passwords, authenticator secrets, QR enrollment codes, temporary verification codes or recovery codes through ordinary support channels.

Retention and legal requirements

Production retention periods, business identity, jurisdiction-specific disclosures and contact details should be reviewed by the operating business before public launch.
